Hi !

i`ve bought a few weaks ago this RAM Package:

Corsair DIMM XMS Kit Pro Series 1024MB PC3200 DDR CL2-2-2-5-1T (PC400)

but i am not able to run this default timings.

the first jump in the BIOS after installing shows me only to change between CL2,5 & 3,but i am running an AMD i think its ok so.

no the facts:

2,5-2-2-5 --> Day of Defeat (Halflife Mod) makes grafic freezes after a different time gaming and also there was a sound loop from the last sound played ingame.

whit a little bit of luck after some minutes i could play again, but most of time the game hangs up or shuts down.

when i looked at the RAM LED´s at the time the game hangup began, they where not working, only the first green LED at each RAM was active until the game runs again or shuts down.

this problems are still there untill i change to example 3-3-3-8,no stable CL2,5 timings are possible.

next problem is:

when i try 2,5 or 3-2-2-5 settings,or 3/2,5-3-2-5 or 3/2,5-2-3-5 the internet explorer shuts down after a couple of time, its also different how long it runs.

this problem also can solved if i try only 3-3-3-5 timings.

i have tested much combinations,each ram seperate,2,7-2,9V an so on,i don´t know how much reboots i made.latest BIOS update,newest licensed chipset drivers,everything i tryed.

now my hardware:

Corsair DIMM XMS Kit Pro Series 1024MB PC3200 DDR CL2-2-2-5-1T (PC400)

MoBO:Albatron KX18DS Pro II (nforce2 ultra 400)

GFX:Sparkle gforce 6600 GT (AGP)

CPU:Athlon XP 1800 Thoroughbred-B (JIUHB/DUT3C) atm@ 2000Mhz 10x200

i am now searching at least 3 weeks in the net to find a solution for my problem, plz help.

i think i have sold enough (260€) to have real stable 2/2,5 -2-2-5 timings :-)

if there are any grammatically mistakes, plz sorry,i am from germany ^^

MfG

I have been experiencing similar problems when i purchased my TWINX1024-3200c2. When ever i am playing a game like battlefield vietnam or half life 2 it just exits the game randomly and goes to my desktop. Ive tryed almost every single bios option i could think of but i always get the same problem. At first i thought it was some kind of virus but norton picked up nothing so i dicided to reformat. STILL THE SAME PROBLEM. HELP!

System specs:

Amd 2500+ Barton

GA-7VAXP-A ULTRA

Ati 9600xt

TWINX1024-3200C2

250gig western Digital

Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
