Default Corsair k55 rgb function wont work.

Hello people. My rgb functions wont work after installing the newest update such as the fn+1 etc. All I can do is go to the utility engine and change it there. But if I want something else ill have to go back. The new update to me didn't change anything. I legit don't know what they are for. Also my keyboard keeps disconnecting but I don't know if that is because of my sub because I bought this pc 2 days ago. And I have not abused the cable.

But I do have a question to. Is there anyway to reset the keyboard?.
If not then how can I fix it?.

Thanks - deadmice

( sorry for any bad grammar )

Now when I went to play doom the keyboard would not stop disconnecting until I shut of the rgb function. The same goes for gta v and Verdun.
