dodi56
Hi, Can someone, who already did some experiences with this configuration, write what stable memory timings can be used at FSB 333 and Memoryclock 400 and FSB 400 and Memoryclock 400? Further it would also be interesting to know how much it can be overclocked. Thx
CMC_SAVAGE
What CPU are you using? Generally, running your RAM in sync with your CPU's FSB results in overall stability. The default timing on the 3200LL is 2-3-2-6.
dodi56
I have got a AMD Athlon XP 2600+ Barton. I can overclock it without any problems up to a FSB of 400 and more. Isn't this Ram sold as PC3200 2-2-2-5?!?
CMC_SAVAGE
2-2-2-5 would be the 2700LL. The three flavors of 3200 are: CMX 1024 3-4-4-8 3200LL 2-3-2-6 3200C2 2-3-3-6 256,512,TwinX, Pro or PT there all the same. Since your pushing your CPU's FSB and your using DDR 400 you're pretty much there. OC'ing your CPU and RAM may show numerical results in benchmarking programs, but actually show a unoticable difference in real applications. dodi56
hmm... the store where I saw the TWINX seems to cheat a little... So, but what about my main question?
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 22, 2003 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 22, 2003 No! Our XMX3200LL would be rated at Cass 2-3-2-6 at DDR400.

Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 23, 2003 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 23, 2003 I think they just confused XMS2700LL and XMS3200LL but all of the timings are published in XMS Qualification and Testing
