k70 rgb Macro key setup question

I'd like to setup a macro to make a key plus a modifier make it do the macro command, for example

 

Ctrl+F1="text string"

 

is this possible, I figured out how to make a macro command and assign it to any key, but I don't see a possible way to setup a modifier and I dont want ot change the default purpose of the key.

 

With how robust the software is i'd be surprised if this isn't possible, I'd appreciate it being added if not.

:( anyone, really figured this would be the resource to get information.

I think I have a solution but I have yet to try this out.

 

Okay,

(1)you create a new mode within the profile you are in.

(2)in the new mode, you assign your text macro to a key.

(3)now go back to the old mode, you assign Ctrl to switch to your new mode while pressed.

(4)voila! Ctrl + macro key
