bajasurf
I just finished putting together a Biostar IDEQ 200N system with an AMD Athalon XP 2800+. The motherboard has the nVIDIA nForce2 IGP + MCP-T chipset and runs pretty well, no complaints on that point. I installed 2 sticks of Corsair XMS CMX256A-2700C2PT memory and the system mostly runs great. My problem is that the BIOS only seems to see approximately 490MB rather then the expected 512MB. Am I missing something or do I have a problem with one or both sticks? Any help explaining this would be appreciated. Thanks.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted February 2, 2004 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 2, 2004 Depending on your system configuration the memory could be allocated for other system hardware. This could mean onboard video or PCI cards. I would suggest testing the memory on another system if you have access to one. If you continue to have problems please let me know. Thanks!
