nobot
I am new guy with DDR4. When I bought this memory Corsair CMK 16GX4M2Z3200C16, I don't know this memory is designed for AMD platform. Now I have purchased Intel Z370 motherboard which is from Gigabyte Z370 HD3. I don't know if it's OK to plug this memory to this Z370 motherboard, And if this memory can run with 3200 hz? Thanks for your help
Corsair Employee Corsair CJ Posted November 15, 2017 Corsair Employee Share Posted November 15, 2017 Yes, it's okay to use this memory with Z370 and yes, it should work at its rated speed on Z370. We test on the current Intel/AMD platforms, this kit has been validated with Intel Z270 and should work just as well on Z370.
gsuburban
The Corsair "memory finder" pages are very dated. You won't find a Z370 listed for Asus which poses a problem now that CPU's are becoming proprietary to certain 300 series motherboards. I have found two model numbers and wondered, what is the difference in the "A" vs. the "Z" in the model numbers. Could it be A for AMD and the Z for Intel Z chipsets? Sure would be a little more comforting to see the memory finder tools updated so customers like us don't have to call or Google the issue which leads to much interpretation. For example, Corsair model number CMK16GX4M2A2666C16 vs. CMK16GX4M2Z2666C16 Any plans for an update ?
