zjacka
Can I use the longer SATA cable from an old HX-750 (CMPSU-750HX) on my SF600? The pin out looks to match up but the old cables don't say what type they are. Also would the PCI-E cable work? I haven't checked the pins and have the shorter cable in but a longer cable would help with management. Thanks for the help
Vegan
might be easier to get a molex to sata power cable which will add more length in addition to having 1 ore more sata connections
DevBiker
That old HX750 is the HX Gold, right? So that is Type 3. (See https://www.corsair.com/us/en/psu-cable-compatibility). Assuming that's the case, it should work. PSA: Please avoid using Molex to SATA cables. Molex to SATA, Lose your Data!

zjacka
This is the donor PSU https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Power-Supply-Units/Professional-Series™-HX750-—-80-PLUS®-Silver-Certified-Modular-Power-Supply/p/CMPSU-750HX] I'd be more likely to just buy a longer SATA cable than use an adapter. The Molex cable is just as short and an adapter seems like a messy option, but thanks for the suggestion.

I think that's the HX "Bronze and White" that's listed all the way on the right of that chart. So no, they won't work. Don't do it. Very Bad Things can happen. Fortunately, you can get replacement cables on Corsair.com. For example: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-%7C-Parts/PC-Components/Power-Supplies/%26quot%3BRibbon-Style%26quot%3B-SATA-Cable-with-4-Connectors%2C-Type-3-%28700mm%29/p/CP-8920116 or https://www.corsair.com/us/en/ACC-Series/ACC-Color/premium-individually-sleeved-sata-cable-type-4-generation-3-config/p/CP-8920188. It's actually the silver model. Will have a proper look at the chart when I get home as it doesn't seem to want to scroll on my phone, so I can't see the right side of it. Yes, but it's listed on the PSU chart as "Bronze and White" (Silver). The cables won't work. Don't try it.
