Can i boot with a Windows 7-DVD and install the FW from USB-Drive? I want to install the OS after the fw-update...:-) Thanks for helping! scorpionri Posted August 18, 2011 Share Posted August 18, 2011 The FW installer works only in Windows with AHCI enabled and officially it is validated only for Windos 7 AFAIK ( that doesn't mean it won't work in older Windows-es ), but I think you can try Hiren's Boot CD and boot in WinXP and try it from there.
