Cc800
I just bought a new h100i the other day. The problem is that it won't fit inside of my case, because the RAM and motherboard block it. If it wasn't for the fans, I could fit it in. I was just wondering if there were any other ways to mount the fans. I was thinking that I could mount the fans on the top of the case, with the long screws going down and holding the pump and radiator in place, like this: |--(fan)--||--(fan)--| -----(top of case)----- |-----(radiator)-----| | | | | | (inside pc case) | ---------------------- I don't see any reason why this wouldn't work, but I just want to get a second opinion first, just in case. Cc800
Btw, would it be better to mount the fans upside down, or right side up, so the air blows down into the case, and then gets blown out the back, or so the air gets sucked out of the case and out the top? sandstorm1
should work ok. pull the hot air up and out, heat rises so its best to exhaust there.
Synthohol
depends on your ambient temps. i found sucking in gave me 2-4c better. temps inside the case are mostly irrelevant.
wytnyt
yeah i agree it is better to suck than blow;):
snapper69
If you suck air in it won't be properly filtered and you will have to clean your radiator more often. As was said, hot air rises (my boss is the living proof of that) so it's probably best to go with it. If you have all the other fans set to suck air in through filters you should be OK.
