bub Posted April 17, 2014 Share Posted April 17, 2014 Hi All I've just bought a GT and decided to check the SSD toolbox for an update. Sure enough it suggests I can update to version 5.24. (But the "latest firmware for every SSD" post suggests 5.05a is the latest..) Scouring the forum and web I can't see anyone else running 5.24 so am hesitant incase it's a mistake. Toasted Posted April 19, 2014 Share Posted April 19, 2014 The last update to the latest fw thread was on the 24/12/13, so it tells us that its dated. Here's an example of another Force GT on FW 5.24 while another is on 5.05. (Note the drive signatures) http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=127887 I'm guessing it has to do with the materials used which have changed throughout time, e.g. different NAND.
