I am about to upgrade my system. Don't do this personally much off my mobile device, but often process 4k drone footage. I would say 32Gb is ample, 16 sufficient and 8gb will work but take longer.

Oh boy, are you a serious renderer? I would highly recommend getting/building a work station then...

Otherwise if you are only streaming 4k, or short 'bursts' of 4k recording then you would need 64/32gb. Otherwise you are going to take forever rendering those 4k videos.

video editing does not need much memory, vast amounts of storage are needed which makes the case for 10TB hard disks and maybe a 2TB SSD for the system

Corsair Carbide 300R, Corsair TX850V2, Asus PA238QR HDMI+DP+DVI+VGA

Asus HD7870-DC2-2GD5-V2, EVGA GTX 660 Ti FTW Signature 2 and box of several others

I have been a vegan since 1969. I have experienced more prejudice than anyone could possibly ever imagine.
