Turbonerfs101e
With old memory go in bios and load the default factory and save Check if motherboard bios is up to date As it improve compatibility and stability last version is 5.27 http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&tmp_geoLoc=true&softwareitem=pv-63120-1 If after that, if it still don't boot. Wired
It is an HP Pavilion a6030n Desktop. I removed the old memory before installing the new Corsair memory. That system isn't in the Corsair Memory Finder. Closest was the A6030a, and only one of the value select kits was recommended, which is a standard recommendation for OEM systems.
thedav1d
Does that mean that Corsair does not have a way to get this computer to 8 GB?

Wired
Does that mean that Corsair does not have a way to get this computer to 8 GB?HP can't even do it. Even their own site only lists 1 GB sticks.
peanutz94
I found this page that suggests it can run with a max of 8 gig's. It just looks like Corsair is not making a compatible kit at this time. With DDR2 at the end of it's life span, i doubt they will make any in the future either. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00880850&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=3377275 Are you trying to use two separate 4 gig kits to make a total of 8? Wired
Another HP page I found said only 1 GB sticks. So much for consistency.
thedav1d
Right now I'm just trying to get it to 4 GB (2x2). I tried the sticks one at a time. One of them works and the other doesn't. Can I get it replaced?
Wired
Of course! The RMA form's on the left. Keep in mind though that it's still not guaranteed to work since it's not on the compatibility form, but it probably will.
peanutz94
I tried the sticks one at a time. One of them works and the other doesn't. Can I get it replaced? You'll have to send in both sticks of that kit. This way you get a matched kit in return.
