Gumper Posted June 23, 2019 Share Posted June 23, 2019 (edited) Im installing the H80i pump to an i7 3770K and a Gigabyte z77 ud5h motherboard. The standoffs are all the way on, but there is a lot of loose play from the back plate. But when the pump/heatsink was screwed down, the play was gone. The mounting screws were all the way tight and it did not take much pressure to tighten it down. Temps were way too high. Removed the pump and only the edges of the CPU were contacting the pre-applied thermal paste. What do I do to fix this?
