Jojoairbus
Hi guys, today I unfortunately found out that my H60 exploded. :wtfeh: I found the cover of the cooling unit laying on the bottom of my case. It must have been blown away?!? Everywhere were splashes of the cooling liquid (inside of the case, power unit, GPU, RAM, motherboard, SSD, etc). The PC was off during this because I was away on holiday. But now I can´t boot into the BIOS anymore!!! The PC is dead! Only the Reset and On button on the motherboard are light up. But no spinning fans or beeping sound, nothing... I have several top-quality Corsair products (e.g. RAM and power supply) and had never problems. Right now I´m pretty disappointed in Corsair and angry, because I urgently need this PC for college. I already filled an RMA. I have a 5-year warranty with the H60. I hope CORSAIR gives me a proper solution. Do you have any tipps on how to clean eyerthing? Right now, everything has dried out. Is there any chance that this PC will run again? I took some photos: http://s3.postimg.org/fya5uuzwf/image.jpg http://s3.postimg.org/43xd03vb3/image.jpg http://s3.postimg.org/9061ox1rz/image.jpg http://s3.postimg.org/is89b6vr3/image.jpg http://s3.postimg.org/mskgkjsjj/image.jpg http://s3.postimg.org/nsarg97pb/image.jpg http://s3.postimg.org/3om3739dr/image.jpg http://s3.postimg.org/dczja8473/image.jpg http://s3.postimg.org/ozop8gxtr/image.jpg http://s3.postimg.org/hha5dkvun/image.jpg http://s3.postimg.org/hsw7431of/image.jpg http://s3.postimg.org/syqi51bun/image.jpg http://s3.postimg.org/c3fyjrvi7/image.jpg http://s3.postimg.org/7rmrh0z7j/image.jpg http://s3.postimg.org/8z5amzepr/image.jpg
cravinmild
OH MY GOD You have documented the destruction very well. Hard to argue it was anything but. Well done, imo you have a great claim. I hope Corsair does right by you. Keep us informed of how the process worked out for you. Im sure others would too. Alot of aio on the market now, it would server Corsair well to show good faith replacing your parts when others are looking for a aio brand to choose from. Best of luck
wytnyt
Agreed its most unfortunate,Corsair has reimbursed on a case by case basis and they may need questionable parts sent to them for testing...

I even don't know how this is possible. Why did it explod? I read something that in the water cooling system could grow algae and they would produce gases which could lead to an explosion due to high pressure in the system. But I assume the cooling liquid is resistant to this.

Was it by chance in a sleep or hibernation state? It doesnt appear to have exploded as the cover locking tabs seem intact but looks as tho it simply came apart...but even so even with this cover removed the liquid area still would be sealed from what I see,of course Im too poor to take one of mine apart to know for sure, Its most unfortunate this has happened to you as it seems you had a nice build. This is certainly one for Corsair to look into to avoid a repeat Keep up to date with Corsair on this, their good people and will do everything they can.. cravinmild
I popped the cap off mine (fell off when installing) and its just that ... a cover. Small pcb and what looks to be the backside of the motor. Yours looks ..... idk, like its leaking from every orifice that it can leak from. Corsair Employee Corsair Dustin Posted September 28, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 28, 2015 Yeah, this is extremely bizarre. You'll likely need to send in anything damaged by the exploding cooler so we can verify that the H60 was at fault, but we'll likely take care of you. I switched off the power strip, where the PC is plugged in, before I went on holidays. I'm sure the cooling unit must have been under great pressure, thus the cover came apart and the splashes of the cooling unit were widely spread over the inside of the case. Yes, it is really a bummer, I was very satisfied with my system. :[pouts: Yeah, this is extremely bizarre. You'll likely need to send in anything damaged by the exploding cooler so we can verify that the H60 was at fault, but we'll likely take care of you. I was also very surprised that this could happen. Thank you, I got an response from RMA, I hope they can help me with my situation.

Jojoairbus
Status update: Once we receive the form back, we will issue you an RMA label (within 24-48 hrs.) Still no answer after 50 hours, I´m really disappointed about the CORSAIR customer service. I sent the email on tuesday with the filled out Corsair Damage Claim Form and attached pictures of damaged parts and receipts. I urgently need my PC! I feel let down. They also replaced my water cooling unit, my RAM and my powersupply. They already arrived two weeks ago. Thank you Corsair!
