k70 lux K70 Lus USB 3.0 issue

for the last 2 months I have had the K70 Lux non-RGB plugged into a powered USB 3.0 hub on a USB 3.0 extention cable to get to my couch (lapdog style on the cheap). I have not had any issues with the setup until i updated CUE to v2.4.66. the keyboard becomes unresponsive when plugged into the hub and is now not able to plug into any USB 3.0 ports on my PC. i plugged the Hub in to a USB 2.0 port and it seems to work fine with the keyboard now. the troubleshooting steps i have taken so far are uninstalling CUE v2, installing CUE v1, uninstalling both, uninstalling HID drivers, resetting Win10 install, formatting SSD and reinstalling Win10. still having the same issues.

Please help if you know of a fix for the USB 3.0 functionality of the K70 LUX
