I would know if is possible to mix high and low profile memory kit because my first slot is covered by cpu heatsink. The kits seem to have similar timing and frequency. Besides, there is no way to say for sure that two kits that were not tested together will work at all. Chances are you may have to ru them at the next lowest speed to get them to play together.
