cmdrdredd
I notice on my new HX1000 PSU that it comes with two EPS 12v 8 pin CPU connectors. One is Modular and one is attached. So my question is, on motherboards that have two of these plugs what benefit does this give to use them both? For example on the EVGA Classified motherboards which have 2 plugs for the CPU. Is it beneficial in any way to use both? Also I notice this has a Blue connector on the end which denotes it should go into the connectors for PCI-E correct? Would this go to the 12v rail #1 with the other EPS connector which is hardwired or into 12v rail #2 to separate the power draw?
Wired
You'd have to refer to the mobo instruction manual on that one. Generally I've seen the manuals say something like "more stable in extreme situations" or somethnig like that. As for your last question: Sticky time! http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70317
cmdrdredd
The sticky does NOT, I repeat, NOT mention using BOTH EPS 12v connections to a single motherboard.
Wired
Right. He's just asking where to connect the second EPS cable if needed. As you can see from the sticky, blue's on the same line as the hardwired one. Don't want varying voltages going to the same device. In otherwords, line 1 and line 2 can waver slightly from each other (I think).
