No, you need both. The lighting and fan power have been split (hence the 2 wires per fan). The RGB Lighting Hub is the physical power conduit for the lighting. The Lighting Node Pro (or Commander Pro) is the software interface. This is how you tell the fan lighting what to do. You need both. However, this also makes getting a single RGB fan a bit prohibitive. It's a lot of wiring and work for 1 set of lights. The multi-packs of most RGB fans come with the required LNP and RGB Lighting Hub inside, but not the singles.

If your motherboard has a addressable RGB header, it is possible, via an adapter, to connect the Fan Hub to the motherboard.

 

But ... you've not filled out your system specs so I don't have any way of telling you if you have the correct header. (hint, hint).
