jacobtc Posted January 8, 2013 Share Posted January 8, 2013 Hi, my trusty old HX520 from 2007 has begun to make a humming (I really believe this is the issue) as it is out of warranty I wan't to switch the fan with a better one, however I'm unsure which fan will work. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted January 9, 2013 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 9, 2013 I would try the Paper Clip test to identify if its the fan that is causing the issue, and if it is since it is out of warranty you can get the fan part number and search for it but I am not sure I would try another model of fan unless you are prepared to try a few different fans. It is the fan, I'm 99% sure, turning all other fans off, and it still makes this noise, not harddrive is making this noise either. Could you recommend any new fan for it?
