GS600 all new with terrible NOISE!

Hi,

I am a new member, I have recently bought a GS600 v2. After installing it to my new system I immediately discovered a very irritating noise, driving not only me but all my family crazy ( they came from another room wondering what the noise was!).

Here's a clip on YouTube,

After a while I located the sound to the psu. It's when the fan starts and stops, or trying to start, you can hear it. I have tried to turn off all power saving features but it doesn't help.

After I posted my RMA I had the following contact whith Corsair. When I contact UPS they don't know anything about a pickup from me. I think this is really poorly handled from Corsair. Not a word in over a week!

I have approved the RMA for you and I will ask our customer service to take care of the shipping since you just purchased the unit but it may be a few days as we are closed for the Holiday.

Hi Jimmy,

We have arranged a UPS pick up for your return. Your RMA number is 5441450. Please allow 1-2 business days before contacting UPS to set up a pick up for your package. UPS makes 3 attempts for the pick-up, please make sure to have your package ready to avoid further delays. Once we receive your unit in we will then process your replacement promptly.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you for choosing Corsair and have a great day!

Best Regards,

Me

Hi, will I not need a pre-paid UPS shipping label to put on the package?

Me

Hi, another question. Is it possible for me to get an advanced replacement, since I do not have a spare PSU to use in the meantime.

Make sure you check all your emails. They should provide you with a prepaid label . If they have not contact CS by phone and ask them about it. I'm sure it was just over looked and not done intentionally. They are usually have a huge backlog from the holidays.

Or you can wait for RamGuy to see this and he can send them a message. But it would be faster if you called CS. Additionally you would need to call them anyway to arrange an advanced replacement for security reasons.

Since you are over seas you can instal and use SKYPE to make the call to the toll free number for nothing.

Well no not in his case Jimmy they told you that UPS would come to your location and pickup the package you only need to have it packed up and ready to go they will put a label on it for you. And that you could call your local UPS office to make those arrangements but wait a few days before calling them..
