.fabioss.
Hi boys, are new and I would want one opinion of yours. Well, in my pc I have a kit Corsair Dominator 2GBx3 DDR3 @ 1600mhz CL8. I have planned the frequency @ 1600mhz from the bios modifying only note that value. Then I have opened cpu-z and I have acknowledged this thing ( http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/9049/immagineeq.jpg ). In substance my memories were 9-9-9-24 and therefore not 8-8-8-24 as they would owe. I'm returned in the bios and I have under the voice "AI overclock tuner" I have planned "X.M.P" (it was planned on "auto"). I'm returned in cpu-z and indeed everything seemed to be correct ( http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/3986/immaginegr.jpg ). In the bios is returned for checking and I have realized that in direction of the voice "DRAM Bus Voltage" is written there in red 1.66 and in the informations was written there that if he goes over 1.65 this could cause permanent damages to the cpu. For safety I have reset "auto" on "AI overclock tuner" and in this way I don't have that writing anymore in red but obviously my memories have returned to 9-9-9-24. My question is this: Is it possible to correctly plan my kit corsair dominator, and that is @ 1600Mhz and 8-8-8-24, without however any type of risk? p.s. You excuse my English but I am Italian and I have used a translator.
Synthohol
Hello LA DIFFERENZA DI ,01 Volts non deve danneggiare la memoria. È molto minore e alcune motherboard non vi danno una scelta. Se il computer è stabile a 1,66 non avrei preoccuparsi. (hello the difference of .01 volts should not do harm to the memory. it is very minor and some motherboards do not give you a choice. if your computer is stable at 1.66 i would not worry about it.) .fabioss.
But when "DRAM Bus Voltage" is planned on "auto" in reality to how much volts are the memories? I ask you this because I would want to pass to 8-8-8-24 but without lifting the voltage.
Wired
1.5 volts is default for DDR3.
.fabioss.
It is possible to plan the memories @ 1600mhz and 8-8-8-24 remaining to 1.5V?
Wired
Possible, but more than likely you'll have to run them at their rated voltage, 1.65v. If you need to set it to 1.64v or 1.66v that's fine, won't damage anything. Note: You may want to post the actual part number of your memory kit in your specs. .fabioss.
But the voltage comes set up in automatic rifle or can be set up manually from the bios? p.s. How I make to see which is the number of my memories?
Wired
1. The memory voltage can be set manually. 2. The memory part number is on the label: How To Read the Memory Label
.fabioss.
1. The memory voltage can be set manually. And then I will plan the voltage to a not superior value to 1.65V so I am calm. 2. The memory part number is on the label: How To Read the Memory Label I have found on the box of the memories the code and I have corrected the information of my pc. from what I see therefore we have the same identical kit. .fabioss.
I have manually planned everything and these are the formulations: - http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/9589/lgim0001i.jpg / http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/9526/lgim0002.jpg () - http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/3797/lgim0003p.jpg - http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/6262/lgim0004g.jpg Is it everything correct? Have I planned everything well? EDIT: There is not in the images but "cpu voltage" I have planned him from "auto" to 1.10.
