sha33
Hey guys, As an early "moaner" and requester of this case, Corsair finally heard our prayers :D I'm going to update this rig build. Here is the configuration : Aorus X299 Gaming 7 Intel I9 7900X 64gb Corsair Vengeance RGB, 8x Sticks GTX 1080 - temporary, waiting on the 1180, for a SLI. LEPA 1700 Watts PSU 500GB Samsung 960 M2 SSD 500GB Sata Corsair force LE200 SSD 4TB WD Gold HDD Full Corsair HD 120 Setup 3x Commander Pro Sleeved Cables from Bitfenix Full Custom Watercooling Loops 2x 480 MM monsta Rads from Alphacool 1X 360mm Monsta Rad from Alphacool 2x D5 pump/combo RES, with 250mm reservoir, RGB Hardline Watercooling PETG EK HD Full EK Fittings EK Supremacy EVO Nickel EK FC1080 Waterblock Nickel EK 1080 GTX Nickel Backplate I'm going to USE the Slate, for Ionly one system, and fully fill it up hopefully ! BUILD IS FINISHED ! ------------------------------------ PSU shroud has been Modified to insert RGB Corsair LOGO ---------------------------------------------------------- http://i66.tinypic.com/67uxp0.jpg UPDATE----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Got the first Case here in France :D. Absolutely monstrous ! I began to mount the first watercooling elements i had in stock, so 7 Corsair HD120 and 1 Alphacool Monsta Rad 360mm for the top, in push pull. First problem, the obsidian comes with a 3x140mm fan tray at the top, and i only want 120mm rads, and the tray is not yet avaible. I had to modify the original tray to mount a 4x120mm, quite a tricky work, but it worked and i think it is a clean job after all. Here you got the first pictures. Cable management will be very hard, with the 24 rgb Fans, I have to have 4 commanders pro. Waiting Now for the 60mm front Rads and the "last" 15 HD120 RGB Fans, Watercooling fittings, PCIe Riser. In the end, i want to base my build on Corsair Original Concept Slate, but with thicker rads, Dual Loops, SLI, and X299, like that : Edited June 24, 2018 by sha33

solarity
My wallet hurts looking at this, though looks like it is going to be a great build! I love the HD-120 for the high static pressure and cool look. I have 3 of them myself. I assume you are going to do push/pull based off your rad selection as the monsta preforms a lot better under push/pull, due to the thickness. I also like your choice of motherboard, seems like everyone gets ROG fever! If you want to have your RGB on the board to match the HD-120 a couple of us wrote a tool that changes the Motherboards LEDs based off the game you are playing. Still in beta, if you are interested. Corsair Employee Corsair CJ Posted May 24, 2018 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 24, 2018 Godspeed and best of luck with the build. I look forward to seeing the results. We've built a few 1000Ds in the office and the sheer size and scope of what you can cram inside of it takes a bit to adjust to. :)

Hockster2
Should consider the T Force RGB ram. It puts the Corsair stuff to shame. https://www.teamgroupinc.com/en/product/night-hawk-rgb-night-hawk-ddr4

gutcheck
Any chance you can let us know how you are hooking up the fans on all those CoPro's? Or let me know? LOL. I plan to do what you are doing with three less fans on top, and only a push config in the front.

I plan to do what you are doing with three less fans on top, and only a push config in the front. 6 fans per copro, and 1 fan rgb hub Per copro. So 4 copro total for me, to run the 24 hd fans and 2 corsair rgb strips

deltaminds
Very lucky to see the complete post, if I had seen this post when the build was incomplete then I would be facing so much anxiety till it was complete. I enjoyed this so much, I am jealous and my wallet just blew up looking at it :P
m3tropolo
You don't need four CoPros; use PWM fan splitters.
Hockster2
You don't need four CoPros; use PWM fan splitters. Read the whole thing first. It's not just fans.
quiksilver87
Im looking to do your exact same build! Just wondering why you didn't put another 360mm rad up top. Some one else did it on youtube and I am wondering how. Is it too close of a fit? I want to also do a dual loop build for only 1 system.
