Default Corsair Gforce 240- 3 issue..please help.

Hi there,

This week i installed Windows 7 and some small apps on my empty Gforce 240 - 3.
After that i checked how much space was left on the drive and it seemed that about 70 gig was used already.

This can't be normal, can't it ?
What could be the problem ?

Hope someone can shed a light on this !

Best,

Rob.

No such thing as a Gforce 240 - 3. Which drive do you have?

Right click>Properties the files inside the drive and calculate the amount of space used.

Is it a
Force 3 240GB?
Force GT 240GB?

Hi vanhaze

As you Have 32GB ove memory install
Windows creat equal amount(32GB) ove virtual memory on your Windows drive
I don't now why pepole put that mutch memory in PC if it not for the job
As games don't use more then 5GB even is you shut down virtual memory.

If you want to get some space on your SSD you could reduce or completly shot down vitual memory. Juste read microsoft instruction
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...virtual-memory

Hope this help
Sincerly yours

Turbonerfs101e: you made my day, the page file (virtual memory) was indeed set to quite large, about 40 gig.
I reduced it now to 2 gig.

Thx for the help !
