Question K95 - Why two USB cables?

My K95 RGB has two USB cables. The label on one has a keyboard icon, and everything works fine if I only plug that one in. The other cable has an icon that looks like a USB pass-through... But the K95 doesn't have any USB ports on it for a pass-through, so what's the second USB cable for?

Power.

There are two USB plugs for my keyboard. Which one should I connect?

For USB 3.0:
Use one connector (the one with the keyboard icon) when connecting via USB 3.0

Connecting via USB 2.0
Use both connectors when using USB 2.0. Plug in the connector with the two arrows icon first, and the connector with the keyboard icon second.
