I used to have a 6GB kit, CMX6GX3M3A1600C9 One of the sticks stopped working so last week I bought a new 8GB kit, CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 So now I was thinking about using the new 2x4 kit with the two surviving sticks from the 3x2 kit. From what I can tell using my limited knowledge and just looking at numbers, they look the same except the new ones only require 1.5V while the old ones needed 1.65V. Is it safe to install the old sticks even though they're a different voltage? I assume you can run the new ones at 1.65V, but I have no idea if or what kind of damage that might cause.
