blackops
Hi, I just got this keyboard and I like it very much but there is an irritating noise coming from some of the keys. Here is a video of the noise. Is this normal behaviour? [ame=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JEKSnAX11Q]clip[/ame]

blackops
Thanks Toasted for your help. I have now come to the conclusion that this is not a ping noise. It sounds like a faulty spring. At least 9 keys are behaving this way. Please see video [ame=https://youtu.be/tpHP1uLqo7o]video[/ame]
Toasted
As Jame's mentioned, you can request an RMA to replace the keyboard, but there are no guarantees the switches will be 100% silent on your replacement. IMO, The switch in the second video is normal as it's unlikely you'll notice it at a normal distance. https://support.corsair.com/
ironmanmasters
I read the last days pages full of the cause of this „ping“ noise, its called Filco „Ping“ Basically its caused by the spring and the metal-plate and the keyboard make-up. The root cause is the spring, because it has not enough pretension an this makes its resonating. If you have a hollow keyboard-back part its even worse. Also the the back-plate(metal) of the keyboard plays a part, because it also reflects the noise of the spring. The ball in my option is by Cherry to make springs which arn't effected of the „Ping“ The only thing you can say about Corsair is, that the keyboard back layout isn't the best (to much hollow room a the backside – very tight metal-plate) A strange thing is, in the development engineers must have heard that „Ping“ noise. Was Corsair ok with that? Because as a keyboard manufacture you can go to cherry and say, is it possible to make a spring which doesn't „PING“ ? The whole task of a cherry red silent switch is, less noise in comparison to an cherry red/brown/blue – but the ping noise is even worse as a „loud“ cherry red ! Even a Cherry Blue is very loud an annoying with that klick sound, but better than this metal "PING" !! https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/wiki/mcrip

I'm going to get a refund.
