zParticle
Will the Corsair badge on the lower front of the 400R case peel off cleanly without leaving any sign of its passing (an indentation or backing for the badge, residue, or anything else)? I'd prefer a clean unbranded case, but if it looks worse after pulling it off I'd be loathe to do so. It's a trivial question, but since this may not be reversible I thought I'd ask here first. Thanks for the most awesome budget case I've ever worked with!
Wired
Search the forum. IIRC there's a thread about someone debranding an 800D.
zParticle
Of course I searched; if I found what I was after I wouldn't have taken the time to register and post this. There were only two such posts that I could find, both discussing chemical removal of the logo from its backplate, and on a very different case. http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=90619 http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=87834 What I'm after is removing the logo plate itself, which I suspect may just be glued to the mesh front of the 400R which should make for a painless removal, but I wanted to check first to see if anyone else had done this. Thanks. search terms: logo, badge, brand, emblem [for the benefit of future searchers]
zParticle
Upon removing and more closely inspecting the front bezel, I determined that it does in fact have an indentation for the Corsair badge, so it would be fairly obvious that something was there even if it came off cleanly. So I'm going to leave it in place for now. It's a small thing, but the badge interrupts the otherwise clean-looking design of the illuminated front fans with its silhouette. If I had one recommendation for Corsair it would be to relocate the badge to any location other than blocking the lighted front fans.
