The specs are the following: -Liquid cooled -Intel i7-7700 -GeForce GTX 1080 - 32 gb RAM etc... It's my first liquid cooled PC. I live in the South of the US (Georgia). It's starting to get hot (67 right now - or 19 in Celcius). My office is upstairs, that tends to get a little bit hotter by a few degrees. I've fired-up link to check the internal temperatures, and they seem hotter than I expected: - the Intel cores are between 43C and 80C - Hard drives are between 47C and 55C - GeForce is a 30ish C - Case and cooling shows 31C Are these normal temperatures? as I mentioned, they seem pretty high to me? Running World of Warcraft at max setting with a 1440p monitor at 120Hz refresh rate, here are the findings: Intel core temp fluctuate around 40-55C NVDIA around 30-40C Samsung HD around 50sC I am actually interested in knowing what is considered normal temperature in relation to the ambient temperature as well. This is my first Windows PC in more than 10 years, trying to learn more about it. I uploaded the idle temp pic and another pic while playing WOW at max setting. Thanks by advance for the answerI have the 1080TI version and those temps seem about what I get... My M.2 SSD can get into the 60s under load....the 1080TI is the best managed component in the system, temperature-wise... Wish the CPU and M.2 SSD would run a little cooler... luxregina Posted February 22, 2018 Author Share Posted February 22, 2018 I would reply appreciate if someone from Corsair could step in and comment whether or not this kind of temperature is appropriate. I worked on the computer for the first time today - doing some processor intensive stuff (lightmap baking) so I kept the processor at full load for short bursts of time: https://ibb.co/f1y8hc : at 100% load, my cores are steady at 80C, not as much temperature swing as I'm seeing when the computer is idle. After a couple hours working, this is what I get: https://ibb.co/bPRx8H : as you can see, at some point, one of my core reached 87C - we are talking 188F here! Since I didn't get any official word or acknowledgement from the Corsair staff on this forum, I will be returning the machine: this computer isn't fit to do any serious work and overheats too much, particularly not even a week out of the box.
