I have seen this issue posted before on multiple sites with only 2 sticks of ram. My problem is that I have 4 sticks of 4GB. When I try to run the system with 1666mhz or 1866mhz the system will not post.

I have not tried custom timings.

Motherboard: GA-990FXA-UD3

CPU: FX-8350

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3-1866 (PC3-15000) CL9 Quad Channel Desktop Memory Kit (Four 4GB Memory Modules)

Is this a config issue? Compatibility? or RMA?

Any direction would be helpful.

More than likely config and a combination of memory controller limitation of AMD based MB's.

With 4 sticks it may be impossible to hit 1866mhz but 1600should be. I would try setting the timings as advertized but set your memory voltage to 1.55 or 1.6v and add .2v to your NB voltage.

Also please be sure your BIOS is up to date too please.
