Hello i'm want to upgrade my computer.

I've got 512 mb corsair cmx3200 c2pt (winbond -5 rev. c) and have the oppurtunity to buy 512 mb corsair cmx3200 3200 c2pt (winbond -6 rev. c). Does it work to use both in dual, or do real need winbond -5 rev. Thanks in advance.

There is no way I can say that you will not have problem! Or they will work 100%! The only way I can make that promise is if you purchase a Twinx set. Sorry. But yes these modules should be able to run together!

It works together in dual channel but i can't change the speed of the memory to 200 mhz (the maximum is 166 mhz). So it works at 333 mhz instead of 400 mhz, in the manual they wrote its possible. How can i change it in the bios to 200 mhz?

My system details:

Amd 64 3000+

Dfi nforce3 ultra-d (939, agp)

2* 512 mb corsair 400 mhz

Actually, although your two memory sticks look like they are of the same revision number and use the same ICs, you're actually using two different modules altogether. You mixed a CMX512-3200C2 v1.2 module with a CMX512-3200LL v1.2 module, both of which have different SPD programs (the SPD-detected timings for the 3200C2 are CAS 3-3-3-8, while those for the 3200LL are CAS 2-3-2-6). The computer's BIOS got confused as to which settings to use, and thus defaults your memory clockspeed to 166MHz (DDR333/PC2700).

Alright i understand, i changed the setting in the bios to setting of the LLmodule, so the c2 runs faster. Be now i've got the problem that i can't change the clockspeed tot 400MHz. In the manual i read you can change the clockspeed manually, the sameway ive changed the caslatency etc. But the weird thing is i only can choose between 100/133/166 and not 200. Is this because the memory or because the mainboard?
