StarManFlorida
I want to replace the 500gb hdd on my CybertronPC Assault-a46 with the Corsair Force series le ssd. I saw a video saying that I need something called a "usb-to-sata iii" adapter with data migration software. Does this come with the SSD or do I need to purchase it ? If purchase, then from where ? Toasted
This is available as a separate kit. http://www.corsair.com/en/ssd-and-hard-disk-drive-cloning-kit While i personally have not tried the cloning kit, IMO, i think they are mostly for laptop users. You might be able to do it without the need for the cable with software. Connecting the SSD directly to the motherboard via SATA data cables, etc should also work. drakbane
Will Corsair SSD and Hard Disk Drive Cloning Kit work on Windows 10 ? Can I clone, From a 500GB HD to a 160GB HD, the partition with Windows 10 on is only 100GB?
Toasted
Put in a support ticket with Corsair and see whether the kit is still compatible with Windows 10 and whether or not it can clone/transfer the OS from a larger drive to a smaller one. https://corsair.secure.force.com/
