Majestic XII
Hello, I purchased a single ml140 fan to use as a front intake chassis fan. I have the 4 pin connector plugged into a 4-pin chassis fan connector on my Asus z170a motherboard. The fan is not detected in BIOS or the Asus Fanxpert software. The three pin connector is not connected to anything. When I power up my system I see a single led on the ML 140 base, but the fan doesn't sound up, nor is it even detected in bios. What am I doing wrong?
DevBiker
What 3-pin connector are you referring to? The ML fans shouldn't have a 3-pin connector ... at all.
c-attack
I’ll take a leap and guess this is a ML RGB fan and not a ML Pro or LED, this the 3 pin is really the thin flat lighting cable. It still should run, but lighting is another issue and if you only wanted one, you may have the wrong fan.

Yeah ... but that's 4 pins as well.
c-attack
I am going with misidentification, unless you think a ML PRO and SP120 RGB had a baby.
