Madlib
Hi. My Vengeance 1600mhz 2x4gb cl9 memory got automaticly underclocked to 1333mhz. So i changed it to stock value, and got constant bsod's: IRQ_NOT_EQUAL_OR_LESS. CACHE bs. Its stable at 1333mhz. Can anyone help me with this? How can i use stock value? Do i have to change voltage setups? I use them setup at B1-B2. Thanks in advance
Synthohol
AMDs dont always overclock to 1600, check your manual to see if a single pair are supposed to be in the black or blue slots, it matters;) the Vengeance ram has an XMP value of 1600, AMD does not support XMP as its an Intel thing. you can try to manually overclock but dont be upset if your CPU wont do 1600. i tried to download your motherboard manual but asus's website is rarely functional. you can try to reset the bios to defaults and then start raising the bus speed until unstable then start thinking about voltage adjustments. Madlib
Thanks for reply. Btw i just checked my system with cpu-z it says memory frequency is 668.9mhz. Is that right? So i need to overclock my cpu to get 1600mhz?

peanutz94
Btw i just checked my system with cpu-z it says memory frequency is 668.9mhz. Is that right? Yes that is correct. DDR stands for Double Data Rate. So your actual frequency would be 668.9x2 or roughly 1333mhz.
Madlib
Thanks, good to know. I oc'd my cpu to 3.8mhz and running memory at 1556mhz without any problems. My cpu is idle at 33c and 45'c during load, so i guess i can oc much more. Btw any OC limitations on this particular set?
peanutz94
Since each set is individually different , there is no way to tell. All you can do is try. Corsair will only guarantee them to 1600mhz so after that you are kind of on your own
