Yuli
Hi there, Had a new build that fired on perfectly. The power cable seemed slightly loose at the PSU end. So - as dumb as this sounds - I tried wiggling it tighter into the PSU with the PC off but the PSU on 5 sec after turning the PC off and I immediately heard some some crackling and smelled some noise. So I never booted the PC again, every time shutting off quicker. The mobo and fans leds kept turning on, Paperclip test test (with some fans conntected to it) failed. So just to be sure.. in case. Did I broke it by wiggling? Are my other components OK?
Corsair Employee Corsair Notepad Posted March 12, 2019 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 12, 2019 Based on what you have described you damaged your PSU and I would not recommend further use of that PSU.
