Lightskinbro Posted February 21, 2015 Share Posted February 21, 2015 The Vengeance Low Profile come in a variety of colors. Was wondering if they are all compatible with each other? For example if I put two 8 GB Vengeance LP (Black) in my motherboard and put two 8 GB Vengeance LP (Blue) can that work? All specs would be identical of course. I just found a slight variation in the part/model number which had me puzzled: Black version: CML16GX3M2A1600C10 Blue version: CML16GX3M2A1600C10B Am I over thinking this or what? Sometimes it is the type of IC that is used on a specific kit and if those do match the second kits. Since that does change from lot to lot and with time, especially for lower end kits, there is no easy answer to your question. Officially no manufacturer guarantees stability when mixing kits. However you can minimize the risk of running into problems if you try to get two kits of the same type and in addition to that with the same Version numbers (this is Corsair specific).
