kmk68
Hello. I have a motherboard Asrock X299 Extreme 4 with Kaby Lake X processor, with 8 DDR4 sockets. In Kaby Lake (dual channel) four DDR4 can be used. Now I have inserted VENGEANCE RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2666MHz C16 - and it's ok. I would like to add VENGEANCE LPX 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 DRAM 2666MHz C16 (48GB in total) will it be ok? Regards, K.
Corsair Employee Corsair CJ Posted January 2, 2018 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 2, 2018 Not usually recommended, but it will probably work and might even work with XMP. Generally we recommend getting the largest single kit of RAM for your system and if you do need to expand, we recommend that you get the same part number for better compatibility.
