Default Future SSD Plans?
i was wondering if anyone has heard if Corsair is planning on offering a larger variety of physical sizes, connection types and speeds for their SSDs? More specifically, 1.8" ZIF SLC type for use in netbooks without having to mod the internal dimensions of your netbook to fit the drive.

I love Corsair system memory and was excited to hear about the SSD especially since I've been eyeballing the offerings by Mtron, but not purchased due to unfamiliarity with that company. I'd love to buy a Corsair 128GB (or more) 1.8" ZIF-type SLC for my HP 1000 if one is made :)

AT this time we will only be releasing them in standard NB Size IE 2.5" SATA and we will be releasing the 256 Meg version soon.
As seen on Engadget and on Crunchgear.com and on Hothardware.com.

Since Corsairs first SSD used a Samsung Controller, I assume their new drive is going to use the new Samsung Controller.

Yes and Wired I dont know why the PN Changed but I will try to find out!
More than likely it as not any specific reason, just marketing.

LOL it happens but this is a new product for us, I still have to read up on these drives I have a few emails I have not got to yet. Guess I really need to make some time for that.

They have been shipping this week, and I know Newegg has them in the works to go on line, you might call them and see if they have them just not on line yet.

Edit: Meh. Newegg online help said "Thank you for your waiting. We are sorry but we do not carry this item at this time. We currently do not have any information on the availability of this item. We will post this item on our website if or when it becomes available."

Oh well. Waiting game.
