asla
I have an albatron KX600pro 3.0 with an Athlon xp 3200 Barton core, and was using a stick of cmx512 3200c2 set at 200mhz 2,5-3-3-6 without any problem, when I bought another identical stick to get 1 gb and when installed started to get complete instability in windows, no booting, lockups and crashes. I tried to test the stick separately with memtest86+ and both passed the test without any errors, but if I test them together I got some 150.000 errors in test 5, at 98% of completion. The only way to use them together is configuring them at 166mhz, 333ddr, in that case the tests are passed with no errors and everything works in windows. I'm sure that the modules are identical, both revision 3.1. I tried both jedec settings and suggested settings. Tried 2,7 2,75 voltage. It seems to me that regardless of any other setting I can't run both sticks at 200mhz, ddr400. Help, please!
Wired
have you tested each stick in multiple slots? It's possible that you have a bad slot.
asla
Problem solved, I found later that the newer stick was faulty, it's only that memtest could detect any error. IL2 Forgotten Battles helped. ;): Thanks.
