TheSteal
So, I have a problem with my Defiance IV 17' laptop from PCSpecialist because stupidly I chose 4GB to be installed rather than 8GB, so I talked to someone on their forums about getting another 4GB SODIMM to make it 8GB. He suggested I should run CPU-Z to find out what brand of RAM I have installed (which is Corsair, obviously). But before that, I was looking at a 1x4GB stick on Amazon and so I see the RAM part numbers are different. The part number on the RAM in my laptop is CM4X4GF2133C15S2 but the number on the RAM from Amazon is CMSO4GX4M1A2133C15. The specs that are similar is that they are both DDR4 and 2133Mhz. So I'm wondering what is the significance of the number, does it affect anything else and am I able to purchase the RAM. Corsair Employee Corsair Art Posted February 5, 2018 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 5, 2018 The difference as far as I can tell is that the module that came in the laptop is meant to be used for system integrators, can you take a picture of its label?
