Gaming K70 RGB vs K70 LUX RGB

Hello,

Since I do a lot of code and casual/constant gaming I want to buy a brown switch keyboard.

 

I came with the K70 RGB (Christmas tree-Keyboard it's nice) but not sure if I should buy the Lux or the normal one.

 

The tech specs says K70 RGB uses RBG LED, while the Lux uses RGB. What's the difference?

 

In the pictures, I see both with Volume Up/Down roller, but only the Lux includes it in the specs.

 

And the other technical difference is K70 uses Cherry® MX Brown Mechanical while Lux uses Cherry® MX Brown. I didn't find anything that explains that.

 

All the other differences are visual: The horrible font face/size on the Lux should make the light stand up more, and i can live with that. But the awful textured Spacebar will be changed if I get the Lux.

 

So, the "visuals" are not actually a problem.

 

Can you help me with the Technicals?

Lux has a better LED controller

It won't flicker in 16.8m color mode.

 

Volume roller is the same

 

Mx switches are the same just worded differently.

 

The font is different to let more light through

Lux also has passthrough usb

Ok, so, regardless the thickering, the Lux is newer than the K70. I'm getting the Lux then.

Does the K70 Lux RGB have brighter LEDs?

 

The orignal K70 RGB's LEDs are really dim. I have a Tt Poseidon Z RGB and it's wayyyyy brighter than the K70 RGB. Wondering if the LUX is as bright the Tt's ones.

In my opinion I think the k70 RGB without lux is brighter compared to the Lux because the bulb is more visible.
