Fezzy
While i was watching TV, i heard my PC's fans start to ramp up, which was odd as nothing was running. I had a look into it and noticed Corsair CUE and LINK are causing my GPU clock to run flat out, even when running in the background. Closing these lets the GPU clock drop back to idle, but obviously then i lose control over my H100i and Corsair keyboard and mouse. I tried doing a clean re-install of my Nvidia drivers which DOES cure the issue, but only until i reboot, then as soon as CUE and LINK launch at startup, GPU clock ramps back up and is pinned at max. I have also tried re-insatlling the latest versions of CUE and LINK but still having this issue. It is not causing the GPU to run at boost clock, just at max stock clock of 1633MHz Anyone having the same problem, or know of a solution? Any help would be much appreciated, as i cant live with my graphics card idling at 54oC all day long !!! Will supply more info if needed, and my PC spec can be found in my profile. http://i63.tinypic.com/s67fw7.jpg http://i67.tinypic.com/2d9cv0l.jpg And after closing Corasir CUE and LINK (the only tab open in chrome is the corsair forums btw, so that isnt contributing to the GPU usage) http://i64.tinypic.com/25juix3.jpg And this is after performing a clean driver re-installation from within Ge-Force Experience... The 2 spikes in GPU clock are where i opened Link and CUE. http://i63.tinypic.com/2h69dvn.jpg
terabyte
I don't know about LINK since I don't use it but CUE uses the GPU to handle lighting effects and other things when you have the CUE window open. But that should happen only when it is open as I just said, if you have CUE reduced to icon in the tray bar the GPU should downclock properly. Does it downclock when you close only 1 of the 2 apps? Or do you always have to close both? For example if you leave CUE running in the tray bar and close LINK, does it downclock?

When both are minimized to the tray, the GPU clock is still maxxed out. And no, i have to close both to make the GPU downclock, closing just cue OR LINK keeps the clock ramped. terabyte
Cue.exe is using GPU when minimized to icon tray. Seems to be an issue with Nvidia gpus from what I have seen around, at least I don't remember anyone of those posting about it using AMD. Maybe that can help Corsair track down the issue.
