Hi,

i buyed this ram at july;

2 weeks ago, after a lot of bsod I checked it with memtest 86 and i find a lot of errors and so i changed it.

i'm testing the new ram.. still problems!

i have an Asus P5Q deluxe.

the memtest screenshot say:

the bios setup is all auto execpt the timing on dram imposted:

5-5-5-15 2T at 2.1V

the version of the ram is 1.2

all the memtest that i run (for example, fsb at 400 and multiplier x9 or fsb at 500 and multiplier x8) show exactly the same results

i'm so unlucky that that kit is broken too?

i'm continuing to test the ram:

ram 1 dimm_a1: fail

ram 1 dimm_a2: fail

ram 2 dimm_a2: 12 hours test 0 errors (still working)

the last kit (i RMAed it 2 weeks ago) show me the same result

1 ram fail, 1 ram ok

so.. what can i do?

Have you tried the memory in different slots on the board? It's highly unlikely that you got 2 bad kits in a row. Also, did you RMA to Corsair or with your retailer?

i RMA'd to Corsair and yes, I already tried the memory in different slots: slot dimm_A1 and dimm_B1 or dimm_A2 and dimm_B2 and always memtest give me EXACTLY the same error of the screenshot

always the same address

my tests for now are:

slot 1 dimm_A1 fail

slot 1 dimm_B1 fail

slot 2 dimm_B1 no errors after 20 hours

slot 2 dimm_B2 no errors after 12 hours

i'll test all the dimm in my mobo but, with the data that i have, the result is the same that i had last time

1 slot broken and 1 slot ok

That would suggest a bad slot or an issue with the memory controller RMA the MB.

maybe i'm not explained well but slot 1 or 2 is the ram

dimm_a1 is the memory controller

so i'm 100% that the problem is one slot of ram

it'll be the 2 rma for this ram..
