iWingers
Hi, I was wondering if I should RMA my second AX860i because of efficiency issues. My first one had issues where it would randomly shut off, but my supplier RMA'd it for me saying it way dead. But the efficiency on it was always 95-99% This second one I've been using for a month and a half now has been on about 70-75%, I'm not sure if I should RMA it with my supplier or ask for an advance RMA from Corsair (because I don't have a second PSU on hand) Here is what efficency it's supposed to run at http://www.corsair.com/media/catalog/product/a/x/ax860i-efficiency-charts.png http://www.corsair.com/us/power-supply-units/ax-series-power-supply-units/ax860i-digital-atx-power-supply-860-watt-80-plus-platinum-certified-fully-modular-psu.html
madmecca1975
I am having same problem but with ax1200i done a log on it over 2 hours at 10 sec intervals and there is a lot of places it drops to 70 to 75. I guess I should rma it don't know what minimum should be guessing with it being an 80 plus it should not drop below
peanutz94
Guys, I don't believe the issue is the PSU, rather the link software not displaying correctly.
iWingers
When I was on 2.2.0 my old AX860i was reading properly, and so was my new one. It then dropped down to the values I mentioned previously. It's not because of the new software
iWingers
Would anyone from Corsair care to weigh in on the issue?
pev69
I just bought the AX860i and I have the same thing: Link (v.2.3.4816) shows 70 - 75 % efficiency when idle. It will go to about 90 % if I stress both CPU (Prime95) and GPU (Furmark). Also in idle, all currents (except main) show 0.000 A (in Link).
