I got this memory 2 days ago Vengeance® — 12GB Triple Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (CMZ12GX3M3A2000C10) two sets first time start up my system i check my memory it's okey 24 gb . Later i restart go to bios set memory to 1866 Mhz start the windows no problems 24 gb inside works fine... and on the next day in the morning i start up my system and windows show me 16 gb only why ? I go to check memory with CPU-Z 24 gb works fine but (Windows Profesional 7 64 bit Service pack 1 ) see only 16 gb. Now windows see 24 gb... G50EED Posted March 1, 2012 Share Posted March 1, 2012 You don't say whether you're doing any overclocking and your system specs indicate 1600 RAM but your post cites 2000. Either one is an overclock from the default speed of 1333. I would recommend resetting to BIOS defaults and see if you still have this problem. peanutz94 Posted March 2, 2012 Share Posted March 2, 2012 Try bumping the QPI voltage to a min of 1.35v and you can go as high as 1.45v . But no frther.
