HX1000 taking a few seconds to provide power to mainboard

Hi,

My HX1000, is a couple of years old, and has recently been taking a few seconds to provide power to the mainboard.

When I flick the PSU switch, the PC remains dead for a few seconds to indicate), and there is no response from pressing the PCs power on button. Then after a few seconds, there is a popping sound, and the PC can be turned on.

The PSU has always made a popping sound when turned on, which I believe is normal when there is arking due to capacitor charging, because of its high wattage?

I'm wondering whether to replace it now, or carry on using until, as another one of the same model was RMA'd after a similar fault developed, though that died within a couple of months of purchasing, so I got a refund.

Can't say I'm that impressed with these PSUs.

Thanks in advance.

Mine does that too. When I first switched it on, I thought it blew.
