ki_2004 Posted December 16, 2018 Share Posted December 16, 2018 Hi, I just need a small help on Corsair H55 cooler Installation. I am yet to buy this. Install manual is providing most of the details however I have a small query about direction of retention ring that may not be possible to depict pictorially. I am calling these two parts as Retention Ring (that prepares with 4 screws) and circular Retention Clip. Please see the snap, I have added text and arrows to the image. It’s clear that you have to first push the retention ring. Then the Retention clip is then to be pushed from bottom to up. However I am a bit confused about the retention ring itself. Should it be pushed from the top of the pump or bottom up first? There would be coolant hose attached to the pump, so which way it’s to be pushed so that both(bracket & ring) can clip together. The hoses from the unit will get in the way if you attempt to put it on from top. The AMD bracket and the ring will clip together once it lines up.
