jedisolo
You don't have to worry about the temps on this drive because even when playing games or encoding video the drive doesn't get hot. I have this drive and it doesn't get hot.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted May 14, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 14, 2009 Yes indeed they do stay cool but I think he was asking for the temp they can use the drive in, there are some extreme situations where one would use this type of hardware where most would not survive like for example a WD Volica Raptor in the desert. ThalesLee
Thanks for the response, I was actually looking to use it within an embedded system which would have industrial style temperature ranges (-40’C through +70’C or so) not a laptop. Will take a bit more thought, but is still perhaps possible. Are there any plans for an extended temperature version? Lee
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted May 14, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 14, 2009 I am sorry but no there is not, you would really need to look for something made for Commercial Applications they will cost quite a bit more but should meet the requirements.
