St4tiK
System normally recognizes 12GB of RAM however upon booting today only 4GB was being recognized. The RAM was purchased from NCIX on 11/11/10. I tested each module of RAM on the system individually and found that the system would successfully boot with only 1 of the 3 modules. Inspecting the two other modules I found the following: Module 1 http://img713.imageshack.us/i/20110228170509662.jpg Module 2 http://img716.imageshack.us/i/20110228170538404.jpg http://img88.imageshack.us/i/20110228170623629.jpg The system will not boot with either of these modules. The motherboard lights up and the fans spin, however nothing appears on the monitor and the DRAM light on the motherboard has a solid red light. Currently the system boots with all 3 RAM modules inserted but still only recognizes 1 module in the BIOS. I have yet to run memtest but my concern is that memtest will only see the one working module as that's the only one that shows up in BIOS. I'm wondering how I should proceed. Thank you in advance for your time.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 1, 2011 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 1, 2011 You might try and clean the modules with a pencil eraser and if that does not solve that please use the link on the left and request an RMA and we will be happy to replace the whole set.
