Tencao
I've looked everywhere for a solution to this problem, and I've yet to find one. I've tried installing the driver on the cd I've tried installing the 1.1 driver from the site I've tried using the Microsoft default driver I've checked for usb latency issues I've RMA'd the headset once already over the same issue I've tried it on more than one machine One thing I have noticed though, on each driver, if I set the sound quality to 16bit 16000 Hz, there is no crackling, anything higher than that, the crackling starts. Is there any solution to this problem?
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted April 27, 2012 Corsair Employee Share Posted April 27, 2012 I have used the HS1 pretty extensively in BF3 with all different sound settings in Windows and did not have any issues. Is the cracking isolated to a certain game or music player?
Tencao
No, but it happens on certain types of songs mainly. This song is a good example of when I get the crackling effect.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted April 27, 2012 Corsair Employee Share Posted April 27, 2012 This recording generated some distortion on my system using speakers until I adjusted some setting on my EQ have you tried to adjust the EQ on your audio settings? Tencao
I've tried lowering and increasing each one as the music played. At most, the crackling was reduced but still there
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted April 30, 2012 Corsair Employee Share Posted April 30, 2012 Confirm on another computer. I would suggest an RMA.
