Jeff L
I currently have a RM650x on a i7-4790 non gaming PC. The fan on this PSU never spins (which is good) except when I'm in bios. I was thinking about getting another Corsair for a new build and I was considering a Platinum this time. I was wondering if Zero RPM mode on the HX/HXI or AX series is as good as my RMX. For the RM and HX/I, Corsair states, "silent operation at low and medium loads". For the AX it says, "silent operation at low loads". Not sure if that means anything. Jeff L
I just found a spec table that has my answer. It seems they range from 20 to 60% load. I believe this is correct... The AX 50 and HX series are 20%, the AXI series is 30%, the HXI and RM series are 40% and the AX 60 series are 60%. (I'm sure I missed a few models)
